General Description
This is a silicone-free, polymer-based defoamer for use with solvent-borne and solvent-free coating and ink systems.

Storage and transport:

Store at room temperature. Storage time should not exceed 12 months.

 

Application sectors:

industrial coatings, wood and furniture coatings, coil coatings, and anti-corrosion coatings. Particularly recommended for solvent-free, radiation-curable printing inks and overprint varnishes.

 

Performance: Anjeka 5057 is suitable for unsaturated polyesters, acrylic/vinyl acetate combinations, epoxy resins, and oil-free polyesters. The additive also acts as a defoaming and leveling aid. It prevents foam formation during the manufacture and application of printing inks. The additive has a fast foam-breaking effect and does not affect interlayer adhesion.

 

Recommended levels: 0.1-1.5%. The amount of additive (in purchased form) is based on the total formulation.

The above data are empirical, and the optimum dosage should be determined through a series of tests.
 

Incorporation and Processing Instructions
For optimal performance, add the defoamer to the grinding stock before grinding. If added later, sufficient shear force must be applied to ensure good defoamer dispersion and prevent shrinkage.
