GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Anjeka-7412 is a silicone surfactant for aqueous coatings, printing inks and overprint varnishes that strongly reduces surface tension and significantly improves substrate wetting.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

Layering or turbidity may occur at temperatures below 5 °C. Heat to 20 °C and mix thoroughly.

Storage is not recommended for more than 12 months.

SPECIAL NOTES

Long-term stability in coating systems with a pH of 4-10. In order to avoid turbidity, a small amount of co-solvent (approx. 5% of the total solvent) is required in the formulation with Anjeka-7412. In systems with a high co-solvent content, the effectiveness of the silicone surfactant is reduced, and we recommend Anjeka-7333 for this type of formulation.

Features and Benefits:

This additive enhances leveling and substrate wetting by strongly reducing the surface tension of aqueous systems. It has no or slight foam stabilizing effect and does not reduce recoatability. The additive does not increase surface slip. For higher surface slip, the addition of Anjeka-7333 is recommended.

APPLICATION SECTORS

This additive is recommended for all aqueous coatings, printing inks and overprint varnishes with the addition of a small amount of co-solvent.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

0.05-0.5% of additives (in purchased form) based on total formulation.

The above figures are empirical and the optimum amount should be determined through a series of tests.

This additive can be added at any stage of production, but we recommend adding it at the final stage of coating production.
